Jacaranda approached us to re-design their existing website and to develop the site into a full online sales platform for both retail customers and trade customers.
We focused the design process around the user experience and created a clean and elegant layout to showcase the products. We are soon to launch a “click and collect” system for retail customers and a trade ordering system to allow trade customers to manage their orders online.
As part of the design process, we wireframed the core landing pages of the website to fully understand and plan out the user interaction and journey through the site. From these wireframes we developed the designs for each core page within the site.
The design focuses on creating an elegant user experience to match the quality and feel of the products and brand. The website utilises the beautiful photography and lets the images do the talking.
With mobile browsing now accounting for the majority of all website traffic, it is more important than ever to ensure the website user experience is well considered across all devices. We designed the Jacaranda website with a mobile-first approach and a responsive layout to make sure it works equally well across all devices.
We developed the Jacaranda website using WordPress and Woocommerce as the core. From this we have developed a custom theme and several custom plugins to provide functionality required for Jacaranda. The ecommerce part of the site needed to talk to Jacaranda’s stock and order management system, so we have written a custom integration to load stock, pricing and availability data as well as transfer orders directly into their system for fulfilment.
