When Blue Skies reached out to us, we were very honoured to be asked to work on their new website. We also felt a certain amount of pressure, with the knowledge that their core user base are all creative industry professionals and will be very discerning users.
Blue Skies main goals for the site were a more modern and professional design and improved user experience across mobile and tablet.
We worked closely with the Blue Skies marketing team and consultants to ensure the new site would meet all the requirements of their staff and clients.
The site was designed from the beginning to look and work beautifully on mobile and tablet, as well as desktop. A stream-lined interface is delivered to mobile browsers to ensure visitors can get the info they need quickly and easily, without unnecessary clutter, whilst not compromising the full desktop experience.
With almost all web projects we undertake now, we design the sites to be mobile responsive, to ensure the best user experience across the largest range of devices.
At the heart of the Blue Skies website is a powerful job board function, which is integrated with their internal management system. We worked with the job board provider to ensure a smooth integration and transition from the old site to the new.
WordPress Content Management
As you would imagine with a fast paced recruitment agency, the ability to quickly and easily update web content is essential. We opted for a WordPress CMS, for a number of reasons:
Familiarity – take advantage of existing skills
Integration – ability to integrate with the Blue Skies internal job management system
Ubiquity – easy for future developers to work with and develop
